Mars Enters Shatabishak October 5

A brief splash about Mars: on October 5, the waxing Moon will accompany Mars into the lunar mansion of Shatabishak. Although any lessening of intensity cannot be expected, the shift will be like this: Mars is moving from a place where he worked to strip away and make hollow and into a place where remaining remnants can be destroyed so that the space is opened for new infusions. I don't predict things getting much easier, but a bit more enjoyment should be available toward the end of the month when the personal planets, Sun and Mercury move into Libra and out from under Mars' direct aspect. At that point, the only planet in direct conversation with Mars will be Jupiter. These two planets will remain in opposition through December, giving us the opportunity to reconcile being responsible with how we act in the world and finding the source of our true motivations and philosophies.

Venus Enters Libra October 5

Venus moves into her own sign of Libra October 5, 2003. (This should at least divert us away from the spiritual gymnastic meet that Mars is in charge of for a short time. We have a chance at some good ole mundane, worldly enjoyment.

Saturn Turns Retrograde October 27

Saturn in Gemini goes retrograde on October 27, 2003. Retrograde continues through March 2004.

Happy Halloween October 31

Halloween night has the potential for spooky enjoyment. Venus will have moved into Scorpio (and under the influence of Mars) by October 29, allowing an excellent opportunity for a party at the portal between the worlds.

Calculations are done using the Chitrapaksha ayanamsha and the mean node. Timings are based on Mountain Time Zone, US.
